THE ZANE RIGBY MYSTERY SERIES
Senior FBI agent Zane Rigby is assigned to take over a one-man office within the Bureau that deals with cases of historical significance. Usually related to a past U.S. president, the cases revolve around oddball incidents, long forgotten. Somehow these long ago incidents get tangled up in modern day mysteries and murder. Rigby is not a history buff and doesn’t appreciate the assignments. But, he is man who believes in getting the job done.
A Zane Rigby Mystery
FBI Special Agent Zane Rigby must find the answer to a seventy-five-year-old question: Did Franklin D. Roosevelt travel to Cocos Island off Costa Rica to go fishing or to search for the treasure of the Bloody Sword?
Rigby encounters personal, political, and criminal troubles as a beautiful British treasure hunter vies for his affections and Rigby’s nemesis, the Monument Bomber, is determined to blow up Mount Rushmore. To top it off, Rigby is suspected of murder, while an assassin has him clearly in his sites and is ready to pull the trigger.
Rigby must unravel the secret of the Bloody Sword or face his own bloody end.
A Zane Rigby Mystery
Senior FBI Special Agent Zane Rigby, unable to close his previous case against the Monument Bomber, has been re-assigned to uncover a secret. Is Abraham Lincoln's body in his grave?
DNA from a hand found with a blackmail note traced back to 1901 matches the DNA from bone taken at Lincoln's autopsy. In Illinois, Rigby encounters a local congressman hiding a dreaded secret, a strange doctor who claims he can perform medical miracles, a dead body in the cemetery, and his own ill-timed urge to rekindle a relationship with his college sweetheart.
As the Monument Bomber threatens to strike again, Rigby searches for redemption and the secret buried in Lincoln's tomb.
(Lincoln’s Hand is Zane Rigby’s first adventure.)
A young woman dives in front of an assassin’s bullet and saves the life of a female presidential candidate. The young woman, Eve, miraculously survives; miraculous to witnesses, perhaps, but, quite expected by Eve.
Jealousy over the love of an 18th century New England pirate caused a powerful witch to cast a spell on Eve Hale. While not aging, Eve is condemned to an endless life; cursed to remain on earth until she kisses the lips of her pirate-lover who went down with his ship in the waters off Cape Cod in 1717. Meticulously guarding her past by not residing anywhere too long or forming lasting friendships, Eve has reached present time, her secret intact.
Now Eve has found purpose for her long, often unbearable existence. After watching women
improve their position in society throughout American history, she is helping a woman run
for President of the United States.
However, her instinctive act protecting the California governor from an assassin’s bullet puts Eve where she never wanted to be – in the spotlight. After centuries of keeping her secret, her life could unravel while dooming the presidential campaign because of the efforts of a persistent reporter.
